Israel Seminars in your community in North America / UK

Israel Seminars activities are available to any groups that wish to take advantage of our programs, across age (from 8th grade and up, according to the program), denomination or lay/professional lines.
Israel Seminars programs are available for bookings for two – three day seminars or communal programs, full day (including Shabbat), or single program engagements.

In a full day of programming, or over a Shabbat, the Israel Seminars educator can meet with as many groups or organizations as you wish to schedule, and results in a much lower price per program. We recommend booking for at least one full day.

Ideally, one organization in the community acts as the sponsoring body, (for example: making a two-day booking) and either "gives" other communal groups programs during that time, or bills each of the participating organizations for their share of the engagements.

A little communal cooperation can mean more groups can take advantage of our programs, at a lower cost per session, sharing additional costs – everyone wins!

What are my responsibilities as the sponsoring organization?

Speaker's fee

$1000 for a full day of programming (3-4 or even more programs in one locality -see above)

or $500 for a single program

or $1600 for a Scholar-in-Residence entire Shabbat program

[UK prices: £500 per day or £300 for a single program or £800 for a Scholar-in-residence Shabbat.]

Accommodation for speaker (where applicable)

Hotel preferred, but home hospitality is fine.

Domestic transport

Transport within the US (or UK) from the last venue. May include domestic airfares, train, taxi or car hire, depending on location and other bookings. We do our best to minimize costs.

Publicizing the program

Make sure you draw a big crowd, with plenty of publicity by email, local press, posters and announcements in synagogue. Try to avoid clashing with other communal events.
We can provide relevant pictures and texts for your publicity.

Setting up the program

We will contact you with details or how to set up the room, including any technical requirements.

We may ask you to print handouts.

Providing the educator with a local contact person

Let us have cell, home and office phone numbers and an email address, to coordinate and make any last-minute arrangements.

Appropriate Shabbat accommodation & meals when needed

We would require Kosher food and accommodation within walking distance of venues. All programs presented on Shabbat are "Shabbat-friendly" and appropriate for all audiences (Including Orthodox and Shabbat observant).
